We investigate the effects of school based physical activity and physical education interventions on students' motor skill competence, physical fitness, physical activity behaviors, and mental well-being, with a particular emphasis on technology enhanced quality physical education.

This project aims to strengthen physical education teachers' content knowledge, pedagogical skills, and professional dispositions for implementing technology enhanced quality physical education through statewide professional development. In addition, the project seeks to improve physical activity, physical fitness, mental health, and social emotional competence among more than 7,000 students in grades three through eight across 20 rural, urban, and suburban schools in Michigan through the Professional Empowerment Student Outcomes program.
